The future of Earth Observation is intelligence

The problem is not data. It is time.

A vessel has gone dark. Four hours from now, its projected path will take it close to five subsea cables carrying Europe’s communications and financial traffic.

Satellites are overhead. Radar is watching. AIS data is streaming. Data is everywhere, but nobody knows which signal matters.

By the time the right observations are captured, downloaded, fused, analysed and shared, the vessel is long gone.

This is why Ubotica exists: to turn Earth observation into intelligence.

Earth observation transformed how we understand the planet. But it was built to collect data, not decide what matters next. In an increasingly dynamic and contested world, decisions must happen in minutes, not days.

Proved in Orbit, not on paper.

Over the past decade, we have built Orbital AI. It connects intelligence across ground and orbit, turning disconnected satellites, sensors and data streams into a coordinated system that predicts risk, automatically tasks the right resources and, on equipped satellites, identifies what matters at the point of capture. Every result sharpens what happens next.

With the European Space Agency, we have deployed more than 30 AI models and performed more than 350,000 in-orbit inferences, with a 100% mission success rate.

With NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, we built the first spacecraft to detect a target, determine that it mattered and retask itself for a closer look, without waiting for ground control.

Maritime security is only the beginning.

Live Maritime Intelligence is the first large-scale application of Orbital AI, bringing the complete sea-to-orbit intelligence loop to maritime security.

We believe every satellite, sensor and autonomous platform will become part of a single intelligent Earth observation system that continuously predicts, observes, learns and improves.

Orbital AI is the intelligence layer that makes it possible.

Careers

At Ubotica you will build the intelligence layer for Earth observation. That means writing software that flies on machines you cannot reach, training models that have to be right on the first pass, and solving problems alongside ESA and JPL that have no reference implementation.

The team is small enough that what you build reaches orbit. If you want your work measured by what the world can decide rather than by how much data it collects, join us.
